HotelTonight – Book Your Hotel in Tobin Hill San Antonio

San Antonio may be a city in Texas, but this diverse town doesn't feel distinctly Texan. Rather, the multicultural landscape of San Antonio has given it a completely unique feel, which is just one of the many reasons why both locals and tourists love the city so much. During my recent trip to San Antonio, I learned about the city's fascinating history, embraced its rich culture and soaked in its vibrant energy. It didn't take me long to fall in love with San Antonio, especially since I tried to see the city through a local's eyes. While in San Antonio, I decided to stay in one of the city's most historic neighborhoods, Tobin Hill, which is located just north of downtown. To book my hotel in Tobin Hill San Antonio, I simply went on HotelTonight's website. Within mere minutes, I had a great hotel room waiting for me in this beautiful San Antonio neighborhood.

Historic Homes

Tobin Hill is one of San Antonio's oldest neighborhoods, as it was originally developed in 1731. Because of its deep roots, Tobin Hill is home to countless beautiful old homes and buildings, many of which have been carefully preserved or restored. To see some of these beautiful old buildings, I simply wandered the pretty streets of Tobin Hill. During my leisurely stroll through Tobin Hill, I passed gorgeous historic homes of numerous architectural styles, including Victorian, Craftsman bungalow, Colonial Revival and Tudor. If you love architecture and want to learn a bit about the history of San Antonio, you should spend some time exploring the streets of Tobin Hill.

Brackenridge Park

San Antonio residents consider themselves lucky for a number of reasons, one of which is their great access to public parks and outdoor spaces. One of the very best public parks in the city is Brackenridge Park, a 340-acre public space that features the zoo, a children's amusement park, a golf course and several beautiful gardens. Locals enjoy Brackenridge Park every day, whether they're enjoying a picnic with family or just going for their bike ride, and I made sure to also take advantage of this lovely park every day of my short San Antonio getaway.

Pearl District

One of San Antonio's hottest new areas, Pearl District has breathed a new life into Tobin Hill. Situated along the San Antonio River, Pearl has become a hot spot for trendy young locals looking for great beer, delicious food, and a cool vibe. If you want to see where San Antonio's hippest locals hang out, you'll want to spend some time in the Pearl District. And don't forget to try some refreshing local brews while you're in the area.
